#OnTheRoadWithRhodes 📍Visiting Our Schools One Stop at a Time with Dr. Rhodes at the Wheel 🚙 Superintendent Dr. Rhodes ventures every week to visit our schools, see the action, talk to students and teachers, and participate in fun activities that he finds along the way. Today, we road along on his trip to visit the Lake Park Lions, Western Oaks Elementary and Middle School Warriors, Central Cubs, and the PC Aviation Academy. Kids will truly say the best things, including one today asking Dr. Rhodes, "Are you the President?" 🤓

🚔 Protecting and Serving Putnam City 🚓 Putnam City Campus Police Officer Parker Mauk, Officer Davon Spencer, and Officer Jake Bradley have graduated from the State of Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training Basic Police Officer 16-week Academy in Ada, OK! We are thankful for their commitment to our students, staff, and PC Community.

🇺🇸 Stars, Stripes, and School Spirit! 🎇 The Putnam City Schools Campus Police Department and Putnam City West High School JROTC proudly marched in the Bethany Boom Independence Day Parade, showing off our patriotic pride and community spirit!

🚜 Moving Dirt for the New PC Centennial Center 🚜 Another School Bond project is underway with the construction on the PC Centennial Center officially beginning. The PC Centennial Center will be the home of a new community park, outdoor amphitheater, fine arts auditorium, meeting halls, School Board room, and administrative offices. We look forward to keeping up with the updates and, of course, the opening in a couple of years! 🛠️

🚌 Congratulations are in order for two from our Transportation Department! Huge shout out to Shelly Armstrong and Zachary Wouters for being distinguished as Nationally Certified Supervisors of Pupil Transportation through the National Association of Pupil Transportation. There are only three Nationally Certified Supervisors in the State of Oklahoma and two of them are right here in Putnam City Schools!

☀️Here Comes The Sun... And Summer Break!☀️ After the last week of meetings, Principals got to soak up the sun today by Lake Hefner and celebrated their hard work throughout the 2023-2024 school year!🎉

Putnam City Staff and Families, The decision has been made to cancel tonight’s School Board Meeting due to the updated timelines of the severe weather potential. The School Board Meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 9th at 5 pm. Additionally, the PC Staff Retirement Reception has also been rescheduled for Thursday, May 9th at 4 pm in the PC Administration Building West Conference Room. As a reminder, all afternoon/evening student activities have been canceled for today, May 6th. Please stay safe and weather-aware. -Putnam City Schools

Due to the forecasted high risk of severe weather this afternoon and evening, all student activities that are scheduled for after regular school hours are canceled out of an abundance of caution. 🪶 From the beat of the drum to the beautiful colors of the regalia, PC Powwow keeps traditions alive 🥁 The heart of Native American culture was on full display as spirits were united in rhythm and dance, and as past and present were unified at the Putnam City Native American Student Services Powwow this weekend.

#PCProud: 🏁On Your Mark, Get Set, And Go🏁 👟The 14th Annual Putnam City Cancer Classic was this weekend in support of OMRF to raise funds for medical research. Although the windchill was a little harsh, it did not stop our participant's presence, camaraderie, and strive for that finish line!
